Sugar Coaters Can Be Your Secret Weapon When Making Crafts

A sugar coating is the base of many home made, homemade, and store bought sugar cookies. It provides a stiff yet spongy surface to help spread the butter or sugar onto. In addition it can be used as a tool for creating different textures in the recipes. For example you can create a coater that helps to seal the dough when making a cookie. I’ll show you how in a minute!

First we need to look at how to use a sugar coating machine. This can be done in one of two ways. The first way is with a regular peanut butter machine. Simply place the ingredients into the hopper and run it as normal. You simply continue to add ingredients until the desired coarseness is reached. You will want to finish by putting the coated items into the freezer for about an hour before you start your baking.

Alternatively, a sugar coating machine can be purchased and used in the same way. Instead of using the hopper, you simply pour the ingredients into the machine and turn it on. It then does the work for you, dries the sugar and coat the ingredients for you.

Here’s a quick trick that I have found to work very well. If you already have a sugar coater or two you might want to try this instead. Take a plain sheet of wax paper and place one end on the bottom of the coater. Cut off a long thin strip about an inch long. Wrap the other end around the outside of the sugar coated paper and secure it with either a rubber band or a hook.

Now all you do is take your sugar-coated piece of wax paper and cut a very small corner. The corner should not be longer than the length of the bag you placed your sugar in. Pour your peanut butter mixture into the bag, spread it out evenly and wrap it up with the bagged piece of wax paper. Close the bag and put it in the freezer. You will not even be able to tell that there was sugar in the bag until you open it!

You now have a sugar coater that you can make a gift out of, without spending hours at the craft store looking for one. Not only are these inexpensive, but they are also fun and you can come up with more gifts to give away than you ever thought possible. Your friends and family will be amazed when they receive your homemade gift wrapped up with a beautiful sugar coated bag! So now you can take that expensive bath or shower without worrying that your sugar might not get to you in time. Instead, your sugar will wrap up in layers of smooth and silky smooth sugar along with a delicious topping that is sure to go over well.
